We had a surprisingly delightful dinner here as a spontaneous walk-in party seated at the bar.

I say surprising because, despite being French food, our meal didn't make us feel like we just drank a gallon of cream--as rich, butter-drenched French fare so often does.

We started with the gorgeous and delicious Faroe Island Salmon Carpaccio. The edible flowers were a nice, crunchy touch. The Ramp Butter Skate was perfectly cooked--crisp on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth flaky inside, and accompanied by the most incredible sauce. Meanwhile the Gruyère Cheeseburger might be my favorite cheeseburger in the city, given that it's served on flaky puff pastry. Also: All burgers should be served on puff pastry.

The one miss was that they forgot our appetizer special until after our entrees were done, but as soon as we asked about it, they hurried it over to us all freshly prepared. That missed app ended up being my favorite dish of the night: Sautéed Fiddleheads. Simple, crunchy and bacon-y. Mmmm, just how I like my fiber.

A bit on the pricier end, but the food was great. Try the cheeseburger, as they use puff pastry for the bun. The apple tart (and ice cream) is good too.

Amazing food and excellent service. Get the prawn entree, its amazing. Some might think its overseasoned but I really liked the hit of salt, pepper and special spiced butter and the beans that go along with it are delicious. The escargot lacked seasoning for me so I added salt to it and then really enjoyed that appetizer. My wife liked the chilled artichoke and the skate entree. Overall would definitely come back and I would recommend coming mid day on a weekday when its less busy , as on the weekends it tends to be impossible to get seated here.

After dining here for 50+ times I unfortunately am finally writing this review and feel truly bad for saying don’t bother visiting this place.

We live in the neighborhood and last summer when Mr. Varun (I believe that’s how his name is spelled) was still a general manager here things were ok and we used to eat here on a weekly basis. Past year or so we have tried giving this place quite a few chances, but it unfortunately never goes anywhere good.

The food is always extremely late and even though the servers are sooo nice the service lacks so many steps and the show is just not ran correctly. For example serving cold butter with bread in a french restaurant is first step where they go wrong. And I mean like fridge cold butter you can not spread on the bread so what’s the point. (They do charge for the butter though). 90% of the time kitchen sends out our order wrong. They truly lack consistency - for some reason the french fries are either great or horrible. Unfortunately mostly horrible with getting only tiny little burnt potato pieces. Yesterday somehow they were actually great.

The pinnacle of our visits was last night when we were served half-melted ice cream that eventually became soup. And to be clearly understood the ice-cream immediately had a foamy, melted like texture which means it stood out for a bit or was not made properly.
We did not bother complaining as the table next to us experienced the same and we overheard the manager saying that “this ice cream melts super fast”. Even if that was the case, which let’s be honest is not, then I would expect the manager not to allow ice cream like that to be served at an establishment that has a name like Jean-George on it.

We are probably officially giving up going to this place unless we see some kind of change happen again in near future in how the place is managed. They charge well over $30 for mains and for that price point the management of this restaurant should truly be sad for how the system is ran.

A food court in a market you are most likely going to find mediocre food. This is not the case. Chef Jean Georges put the work into this place to make it incredible. T.Brassiere is on a $$$ scale. The food was incredible, plates were compacted with the right portion sizes, and served well with a bit of finesse. Service was remarkable! The chicken is a must try!!! Juicy, flavorful, perfect baked golden color. I would also recommend the steak. Everything on the menu ordered was well put together and excellent.

Good food, perfect at lunch because the staff moves fast. Chef does a great job and location is amazing. All look nice and clean. Salad heart of lettuce was fresh and well blended, little too much vinegar. Roasted cod was fresh but the bed of carrots and potatoes was not 100% amalgamated. Well dish was overall nice, ingredients were fresh. Nice side of Brussels sprouts. Nice twist of garlic there. Crème brûlée nice. Little pricey for one person over 80$ with no alcohol an no tips. Good experience for lunch.

Mussels were DELICIOUS! Brie as an appetizer was great. Service was top notch. Bit pricey but makes for a great meal overall. Love the Tin Building. Espresso martinis were fantastic.
