I swear my review is objective. At first I was surprised why everyone gave such a low rating. But then I understood why. The first time I got a bus at the airport everything went well. The driver's service attitude was very good and arrived at the airport on time. But the second time I called to make an appointment to go from my college dorm to the grocery store, the operator was really mean. Her phone was noisy and yelling. The attitude was rude. She has a bad attitude towards her service and will not give you information about the ride. I booked the bus twice. I didn't see any buses in the parking lot and I called again after waiting 20 minutes in the parking lot. But the operator was impatient with me. It's like I missed the bus on purpose. There is a big problem with the scheduling and cooperation between the driver and the company. I hope this never happens again in the future!!!

Ive noticed a lot of the complaints in the reviews. Every review I have read is exactly the truth. I will not call the transportation manager because she is the rudest and most unprofessional person to represent this business that is set out to convenience and better this community. She obviously can’t train new hires up to customer services needs. I scheduled a ride for 7:15 and was told the ride back was 7:45. I asked if I could run in and back out and still pay for a return ride even though I would have to wait for other customers rides before I was dropped off. I was denied even though I was approved the evening before when I scheduled the ride. I literally arrived at 7:40 ran in to my destination and back out and the guy was gone . I was told my return ride was at 7:45. I’m not sure how this makes sense considering our community’s tax dollars help fund this program . Are they exempt from the over whelming fuel prices ? . Not only would it save them money on fuel but also cut back on their mechanic bills from the unnecessary wear and tear . Theres about 6 to 8 double seats for the public unlike a taxi. I am unable to drive at the moment and having a high risk pregnancy walking in the heat at 8 months probably isn’t the safest for an individual. Do they treat the handicap and elderly like this as well.? This is concerning to me and makes no sense. Just because it’s 2 bucks a ride (which I have to say is awesome and much appreciated) dosent mean the people of hays have to be treated with disrespect. I’m sure there are other ways to serve the community happily while bringing in more revenue for this community service. I feel like a reevaluation of this program needs to be sought out especially for the ones in dire needs of transportation in this community. As I said before this is public transportation not a taxi service and needs to be operated as such. I do thank you for the services even though my experiences and many others have been dissatisfying.

If you need a ride make sure to call them first thing in the morning when they open if you wait too long you're not gonna be too happy with the response you get especially if you need to get to work and not be late. It's pretty disappointing they don't have people who need to get to work on time as their priority before everyone else. There's no reason people who don't work or contribute to society can't wait they aren't actually doing anything that important. The city of Hays seriously needs a entirely separate service for work people and I'm about to write to the Governor and let her know that's a better way to spend the cities money instead of wasting it on those dumb roundabouts on vine street.

Darcie or Darcy, one of the dispatchers is extremely rude. She acts like she couldn't care less about her job. Her attitude is something else. She needs to fix it. The drivers don't wait for you to put your seatbelt on even though it's in their policy to. They drive off the second you sit down. They don't give a chance.

They are all fantastic. From the people setting up the appointments to the drivers. They are super nice and always on time.

The drivers are great! However a few of the women that schedule rides are very rude and unprofessional. Also it seems as if these few ladies tell me they have no openings to get a ride on most occasions . I have complained and nothing has changed . So lately I am trying to not use the services they provide as much as possible .

Access, at first, seems decent enough, though their time policies are inconvenient (We can be up to 10 minutes early and up to 15 minutes late and we leave after 5 minutes if you aren't there ... oh, and we park wherever, even if it isn't always visible from within the building). No texts to tell you they've arrived, and Heaven help you if you need to reschedual a ride. You may have to wait 3-6 hours, if they have another time available that day at all. But, then, once a staff member gets angry at you for any little thing, even if you've had no warning ahead of time that what you were doing violated some little policy somewhere in the handbook they never give you until they decide to ban you for violating it (even though I asked for it when I first started riding mutliple times)... once that happens, you'll be banned. In my case, what I did was necessitated by a doctor's note, in relation to my disability, but did that matter? Nope. Not at all. Still banned. So, it would be a higher rating based on the drivers, who always seemed pretty nice when I could ride Access, but the management and most of the office staff are horrid and outright discriminate against certain disabled people they decide not to like. That, in my opinion, is utterly unacceptable and I can't give them more than a 1-star rating until they improve their "Access"-ability, especially for those with special needs whom they are SUPPOSED to serve.

The drivers are friendly and professional. It is those in charge of scheduling your ride that are rude. I was told I "should have said something" and was pretty much blamed for the access public transportation bus not showing within the 30 minute window I was told they would picked up. I am now being charged for them apparently showing up at a later time which was "looked up in the GPS."
