I’m so grateful for my experience at American Career College! From day one, the support and guidance have been amazing. One person in particular who deserves a huge shout-out is Bridget Evenadar, my admissions advisor. Bridget made the whole admissions process so smooth, walking me through every step with so much patience and care. She really took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I felt confident about my decision. Bridget’s dedication and commitment to students are unmatched—she truly goes above and beyond!

The school itself is fantastic, with experienced instructors and hands-on learning opportunities that prepare you for the real world. The labs are equipped with everything you need to get practical experience, and the staff is always there to help when you need extra support. Plus, the flexibility in class schedules makes it possible to balance work, school, and life, which is a huge benefit for me.

Another big plus is the career services team, which helps you prepare for your future. They offer resume workshops, job placement assistance, and mock interviews, which really sets American Career College apart from other schools. You leave here not only with a great education but also the tools and confidence to succeed in the job market.

I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate Bridget and the team at American Career College for making this journey a positive one. If you’re looking for a supportive, hands-on learning environment with great resources, I highly recommend this school!

Director at the time when I went put the answers on my final test , meaning she did the test herself and not me ....I was so tired and couldn't stay up during classes since I was working overnight job at walmart. I had to support myself with no help at all. I didn't have the energy , I was young. They robbed me for my education. I wish I could've restarted or wish I could've dropped out of the class but all they care about is getting their money. Never got my certificate. They literally robbed me. I wanted to put this out there so everyone knows what I went through. I should not have to pay for anything!

I would never recommend this route. LB college has LVN programs FREE w grants. Community colleges you learn more. There’s also Downey continuing education that has a lot of the programs that American career college has that charge you less than half of what they do. I am a Pharmacy Technician grad decided to go back to school to get my degree and realize that there’s so many other options and you don’t have to give these people your money. Never helped me get a career. I wouldn’t recommend this to my own kids. I suggest you do your research before you try this place.

I went here and graduated from the surgical tech program during the pandemic. The entire last year of my program was a mess. My clinical rotation took 9 months instead of the 4-5. I had no support from my clinical director. I asked the school last year (May 2022) to stop contacting me and leave me alone. THEY STILL CALL ME! And about the dumbest things that no longer have any relevance. Plus, I graduated with honors, and they neglect to add that to your diploma.
PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE

Awesome opportunity. I graduated on April of 2018 in less than a year with my Dental Assistant certificate.
I entered some info online and got a call back from ACC in less than a week to set up a tour and appointment. Garin, who helped me enroll was super helpful and sweet. She walked me through the different courses they offer like Medical assistant, dental, surgery technician, optometry and medical billing and coding. I was initially interested in Dental assisting so that’s what I did. I started class almost three weeks after my appointment.
The class was small (maybe 19 students the most) and the teachers are great. I studied with Ms. Aguilar and Ms.Perez. Both teachers are awesome professionals who have been in the field for years, they definitely know what they’re doing and doing an awesome teaching. They offered four hour class Mon-Fri with two hours of lecture and two hours lab. The structure of the class/classroom is set up so we do the most learning without moving forward without the knowledge. Time flies!
You’re required to do clinical hours which is made to help you before officially going out to the field. When the courses are completed they help you send your resumes to offices that are currently seeking. I received several job offers without sending not one resume myself. I finally found a great office. I’m thankful for the structure of ACC and all the staff and teachers that help others like me find a career that I love.
Definitely consider American career college when looking to find a rewarding career.

Please READ this review from a former student and graduate of ACC LA. I'm a person with good standing among the instructors and other students at this campus.

ADVERTISEMENT: The paid billboard ads around L.A. and awards on the walls inside (all of which are from the same company, The irrelevant L.A. Daily newspaper.) Do you read that? Me neither. Please don't let decoration fool you into wasting your precious time and hard earned money.

SURROUNDINGS: The environment and location is odd, horrible and just not the safest. Unfortunately the parking garage is also some sort of DIY student lounge with tables and chairs and vending machines. Why are we eating lunch in a parking garage? Twilight zone activity at its finest.

ACCESSIBILITY: There are about 20 safe parking spaces, usually taken up for staff. You will likely need to park on the busy street where accidents happen frequently and either pay the meter, risk getting a hefty ticket, or park in the homeless encampment area/student lot about 0.5 miles away. You may get a shuttle, or you may have to walk.

AMBIENCE: The admissions staff and directors are unpleasant. Their process is highly unorganized. They will communicate with you in a rude manner via phone call and emails, or blatantly ignore you. I have requested info multiple times and was told every time they are too busy and to leave. They make it seem as though I'm not welcome on the campus.

You can succeed here, although you will be put through a long series of rigmarole, shenanigans, and malarkey -which in my opinion outweighs the positives. (A few decent teachers, kind receptionist, friendly Security guards and wall awards are just not worth it.)

There are immensly better schools who offer the same programs for less. I urge you to continue your search if you love yourself. This school will make you age faster.
